About Us

Crestarize started from a simple, slightly annoying observation: millions of people wear a retainer, aligner or night guard every single night, and almost nobody has a good way to clean one.

The standard advice is to brush it. That turns out to be the worst thing you can do — a toothbrush scratches the plastic, and those micro-scratches trap more bacteria and stain faster. Soaking tablets are gentler, but they only treat the surface. Neither approach touches the biofilm sitting in the grooves.

What we do instead

Dental practices have used ultrasonic cleaning for decades, on instruments where 'looks clean' is not good enough. The physics is well understood: drive high-frequency sound through water, and you generate millions of microscopic bubbles that collapse against every surface they touch, lifting away debris without anything ever making contact.

That technology was never expensive or fragile. It just wasn't packaged for a bathroom counter. So we built it that way — a device that runs a five minute cycle at the press of a button, at a price that doesn't make you think twice.

What we won't do

We don't claim to be a medical device, because we aren't one. We don't publish invented kill-rate percentages. We point you at the published research on ultrasonic cleaning of oral appliances and let you draw your own conclusion.

We also don't think you should have to take our word for it, which is why every device ships with a 30 day money back guarantee. Run it for a month. If your appliance isn't visibly clearer, send it back.
